Lodhi Garden Delhi – Sanctity Amidst City’s Chaos
After landing in Delhi, all my nomadic episodes were on leaps and bounds. I was on the top of the world to reverberate my experience in the course of travelling to Delhi. My profession never allowed me to listen to my heart. It is my own principles towards my individual life that make me do what I like. Among all of my features, travelling persists on top and photography comes following it. At Delhi too I was ready with my camera to capture some unforgettable moments and glimpses of the journey. Sometimes I think travelling is the impeccable medium of resting yourself with utmost inner peace. It keeps you standoffish from the fatigue that you confront on a daily basis. Lodhi Garden Delhi to me was such small instance for recreation.
One of the wonderful illustrations of Mughal architecture, this garden has sufficient ability to stand over the peaceful needs of the visitors. I could heed the enchanting resonance of kids. With plants and trees in abundance the garden boasts its serenity distinct from the bustling city. It is the place where plenty of love stories begin. The garden is well preserved with greenery all over. It’s a perfect place for joggers too. Deep seated near Khan Market on Lodhi Road, it is well connected to the city and its other tourist places. Yoga enthusiasts find this place comfortable to perform. Mohammed Shah’s Tomb is the major attraction over here. The relics of the tomb, water tank, etc., of the Lodhi Dynasty are easily observed here. Whenever the thought of travelling the historical sites occur in my mind I stay tuned to it. I am quiet interested in India’s past yet glorious history.
Delhi has every facet of tourism that makes it one of the happening destinations in India. The fascinating and striking features of its historical sites like Lodhi Garden Delhi are the reminiscence of the Mughal Empire in the country. India has struggled immensely for its freedom from age-old centuries and this is boasted from every alcove of the nation. Being an Indian I abide by this truth and pray for its success and plodding development forever.
Famous food of the week : Dosa Aloo Sabzi
Dosa Aloo Sabzi: Hot-hot roasted dosa with desi ghee with freshly prepared aloo sabzi is nothing less than pure heaven and whoever thinks that going to fancy hotels and ordering expensive dishes is the only way to get tasty food, definitely haven’t tried dosa with aloo sabzi. An absolute must-have!
Lotus Temple Delhi – The Illuminating Abode of Spirituality
For the very first time I used a travel planning app for my journey and it was a great experience. It made the travel a lot more easier.
Delhi is the metropolis profusely stuffed with all the aspects of tourism. Be it historical site, science centers, gardens, spiritual spots or entertainment parks, everything is bequeathed by it. Till now I have observed almost all the colors of Delhi’s rainbow tourism. Only I left with, was the spiritual and the historical Mughal Gardens.
Lotus Temple Delhi, an intact pilgrimage and divine abode, is the nucleus of bliss and tranquility. I reached the edifice located at Bahapur. Incredible structure with vast interior and lush green outside depicts the gradual development in India’s tourism. You know, when you reach the chapter were you are blessed with sanctity and contentment; all your doubts are mislaid. Same happened to me when I stepped into the premises of the temple.
Illumination and celestial are the words to describe the holy edifice precisely. Pure white marble made structure is the icon in its own terms. The most interesting and marvelous part of the temple are its blooming petals encompassed with nine water pools. They dazzle like twinkling stars as the sunlight falls on them. I was so fortunate to witness this mesmerizing sight. It seems like all my stars were on perfect computation on that magical day. I would forever remain grateful to Omnipresent God for making me the component of this lovely place. I pursued towards the temple to unfurl the suspense inside. It is erected with the thought of liberty and equality. It simply means a common figure for all the four religions of India named as Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. It declares the freedom for all the followers of these four religions to visit the temple irrespective of caste and creed. I was so very touched with the declaration.
Architect Furiburz Sabha requires salutation and honor for such thought. The massive hall inside the temple is the icon of unity. I was suppressed with the grand interior inside. I wandered around the premises to get enclosed with every niche of the Lotus Temple Delhi. I was entirely lost in the harmony of the mansion and forgotten that it was the high time to visit my next enlisted place of interest, Lodhi Garden Delhi.
Image of the Week : Chatta Bazar Delhi
Chatta Bazar Delhi: We had planned a vacation trip to Delhi and it was a real fun experience! Before we visited Red Fort , we just took a peep into Chatta bazar and it was a market with covered roof and it was a blessed relief to escape the scorching summer sun! There were shops selling all kinds of goods and an absolute treat for shopaholics!
National Science Centre Delhi – Countenance of Unidentified Science
Here arrives National Science Centre Delhi at Pragati Maidan Gate No.1, a sovereign body overlooking Puran Quila. The massive spanning four floors of innumerable science exhibits welcome its visitors with open arms and I was one of them. My eyes were wondering and seeking for the entrance. I got it soon by the help of security. I was astonished to see the splendid building that erects with admiration and nobility. It boasts its sanctity towards the science and technology in India. Moreover, when I entered the centre I noticed, it is well furnished and chic from all aspects. Be it the diverse galleries or other facilities, it is vivacious and informative in all terms.
I started with the most significant element of life and the gallery is named exactly the role played by it on earth. Yes, it is none other than Water: The Elixir of Life. With 34 interactive displays it boasts the account of water and its existence on earth and living beings. Its role in the eco-system of the globe is widely described through multiple exhibits. Next is the Heritage Gallery which pays honor to the world’s science and technological sector. It portrays the past 4500 years history of their role played vividly. Its growth and expansion is flamboyantly explained in the Gallery. Human Biology Gallery reveals the different aspects of Human Body and its system. It should be the must see place for everybody as per my implication. We can’t even imagine how profound and innovative science is? Rather it is everything!
The Fun Science Gallery is another portico of science as the name defines. Children, who get jaded by the uninteresting subject of science, feel escaped after joining the gallery. It provides them diverse modes of enjoying science with fun and frolic. It amazed me too. More Galleries are there that remain unvisited by me. Hope I would have enough time to adjust those segments. But whatever I observed would remain close to my heart and obviously the brain as well. National Science Centre Delhi gave me new meanings to my financial life and a new beginning to Lotus Temple Delhi.
Image of the Week : Sunday Book Market Daryaganj Delhi
Sunday Book Market Daryaganj Delhi: I love reading books and wanted to visit this Sunday book market in Daryaganj in Old Delhi…it was a treasure trove and I went crazy seeing some good books which I always wanted to read! This market is near to the metro stations like Chawri Bazaar and Chandni Chowk so it was easy to get there. I reached about 10 in the morning and all shops were slowly opening.. I was asked to take care of my bag as there were pick pockets in this area.
National Rail Museum Delhi – An Exotic Visage of Indian Railways
The colorful Delhi is also a freak out place for the business supervisory. It provides them an informative yet lighthearted holiday apart from their business venture. For Financial Advisor like me, it was too an authentic journey to get excited with. Railways, I have seen since my childhood, is the best way to plan for a holiday in India. I don’t know why, but it bestows the rejuvenating feeling of grand escape from a tiresome work. National Rail Museum Delhi exactly gave me the same experience. The whistling sound that a rail releases is as soothing as a peaceful rhythm. It reflects your escape to your dream destination. I was agitated to witness the centuries old railways and know about the celebrities who travelled on them in their respective lives.
With collection of 100 exotic and fascinating exhibits of real size Indian Railways, the unique museum boasts its discreet entity. It was really an interesting exploration for me of our centuries old railway network. Indian Railways is said to be one of the largest network worldwide. Isn’t it pride for India? The centre of attraction is the Fairy Queen which was built in the year 1855. She is deliberated as one of the best steam preserving locomotive engines of her era. I hired the tickets to take a ride on the mono rail to have a glance of the museum on wheels. Riding through the mono rail, there is Fire Engine on the way, chic and handsome among all. The museum is also the home to the features, tools and techniques used in Indian Railways. For instance, antique furniture, stagnant and active models, historical photographs, signaling equipments and related text, etc. are exhibited in the museum.
Prince of Wales Saloon is another marvelous coach that was established in the year 1875 and it is one of the old coaches in the queue. Not the least but there is also Maharaja of Mysore Saloon that was constructed in 1899. The coach is rich in chairs covered with brocade and a bed of elegant rosewood. What a royal journey they travelled all those years? I bow down to the royalty of India and its history. Now it was the time to end the journey of National Rail Museum Delhi and begun with National Science Centre Delhi.
